Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Benavidez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benavidez has chosen Kavinsky - Nightcall as his entrance music. Jacob Benavidez told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adamek swings widly with a right hand
letting Benavidez counter with a right hand.
Benavidez smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
A jab from Benavidez finds it's way through Adamek's defenses.
Benavidez throws a nice inside leg kick.
Benavidez keeps Adamek at a distance using the push kick.
Benavidez lands with a good body shot.
Adamek looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Benavidez connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Adamek swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Adamek is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benavidez throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Adamek seems to have got his legs back now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Whack! Benavidez lands a heavy head kick that drops Adamek. The ref tackles Benavidez to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Adamek was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Jacob Benavidez!
