Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Leben (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boom's entrance music is Texas Lonhorns Fight Song. A fine choice. Leben has chosen Crept and We Came- Bone Thugs as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Boom closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Boom lands in his opponent's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Boom's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Leben looking for a guillotine here but Boom defends easily.

Leben is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boom chips away with some ground and pound.
Boom postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Leben is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Boom got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leben has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Boom has managed to get both his arms back between Leben's legs - danger averted.
Boom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Leben is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boom is aware though and is defending well.

Boom cracks Leben with a solid left hand.

Boom stands up over Leben, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Leben is rocked!

It looks like Chuck Leben has been cut.
Boom gets to his feet and stands over Leben, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Leben felt that one! Boom unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Leben from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Boom!
David Boom was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
