Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Moorer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dudley Moorer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Worner!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Moorer both land. Nice combination.
Worner scores with a head kick. Moorer tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Moorer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Worner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Worner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Moorer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Worner looks to land a combination. Moorer sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

and Moorer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Worner is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Worner is working an open guard so Moorer takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Moorer shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Worner napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Moorer has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Worner!
Worner is looking to get to half guard.

Moorer controlling the pace for now.
Worner sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Worner actively working from the bottom here.
Moorer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moorer stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Worner shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Moorer counters with a straight right hand.
Moorer scores with a jab.
Worner doesn't manage to clinch there - Moorer circles away.

Moorer fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Worner to the ground. Moorer is now in Worner's guard.

Moorer gets to his feet. Worner looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Austin Worner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Moorer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Moorer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Worner has a closed guard, preventing Moorer from standing up.

Moorer stands up and waves to Worner to follow him.
Moorer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Moorer lands a jab to the nose.

Moorer rushes Worner and presses him up against the cage.
Moorer tries to break free but Worner pushes him back against the cage.

Moorer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Moorer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Worner pushes Moorer off looking to stand but Moorer dives back in and keeps control.
Worner tries to get to full guard but Moorer has control of the leg.

Moorer stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Worner to get to his feet.

Moorer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Worner to the mat! Worner manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Moorer gets to his feet - Worner follows without any prompting.
Moorer throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Worner on the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dudley Moorer dominated that round.
That's time! Moorer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Moorer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Moorer connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Worner's hands.
A nice combination there by Moorer.
Worner with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Worner takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Worner takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Moorer scores with a shot to the body.
Worner seems to have recovered his senses.
Worner throws a leg kick that misses.
Moorer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Worner tries to clinch up
and Moorer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Moorer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Moorer lands with a nice body punch.

Moorer is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Moorer slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Moorer wants to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Worner connects with a nice short shot to Moorer's temple.

Worner thows a huge punch but Moorer dodges it nicely.

Moorer kicks off Worner and gets to his feet.
Moorer tries to clinch up but Worner circles away and keeps his distance.

Moorer shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Worner eats them both and turns towards Moorer to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Moorer is trying to break the clinch but Worner has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Moorer's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Moorer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Horrible takedown by Worner or perhaps it was just good defense by Moorer which made him look bad.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Worner tries to bum rush Moorer with a series of wild strikes but Moorer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dudley Moorer dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


A left and a right from Moorer both land. Nice combination.
Dudley Moorer is winning the standup battle so far.
Moorer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Worner backs up against the cage.
Moorer swats away the attempt to clinch by Worner.
Moorer moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

and Moorer counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Moorer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Worner, pushing him back against the cage.
Worner has Moorer pressed against the cage, preventing Moorer from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Moorer wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Worner has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Moorer avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Worner is trying to drag Moorer to the mat but Moorer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Worner misses with a jab to the body

and Moorer counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Worner!

Moorer looking to control and managing it successfully.
Dudley Moorer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Moorer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Worner is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Moorer.

Worner darts in trying to clinch
and Moorer counters with a one-two to the body.
Moorer connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Worner momentarily.
Moorer connects with a looping right hand.
Worner tries to move into range but Moorer moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Worner takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Worner walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Left hook, right uppercut from Moorer.
Moorer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Worner can do to turn this around?
Worner closes the distance but Moorer moves to the side
and Moorer counters with a one-two to the body.
Moorer is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Worner has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Worner there as he acknowledges the shot.
Worner moves to clinch but Moorer breaks away
and Moorer counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Moorer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Worner is trying to control the position but Moorer postures up.
Austin Worner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Moorer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Worner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moorer has managed to get both his arms back between Worner's legs - danger averted.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dudley Moorer showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Moorer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
