Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Murofushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Perciwall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johan Perciwall has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Kenji Murofushi's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Murofushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johan Perciwall! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yuuki Gou and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perciwall misses with a body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Perciwall 's head but he takes it in his stride. Perciwall tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Murofushi is able to avoid easily. Murofushi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Perciwall to the mat! Perciwall manages to get full guard. Murofushi controls from within his opponent's guard. Murofushi stands and throws Perciwall's legs to the side, diving into side control. Murofushi is trying to get an arm triangle but Perciwall is defending well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Murofushi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Perciwall, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murofushi is trying to get an arm triangle but Perciwall is defending well. Murofushi moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Perciwall is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Murofushi asserts his dominance and retains side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murofushi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Perciwall being controlled for a moment. Perciwall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Murofushi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murofushi in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Perciwall is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kenji Murofushi! Kenji Murofushi decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
