The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hickock stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hickock wants it to stay on the feet.
Hickock tries to clinch but Ironhook moves away
and Ironhook counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ironhook won't allow Hickock to get back to his feet.

Hickock had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ironhook defends it easily.
Ironhook stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hickock swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hickock jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Ironhook throws a right and a left that Hickock avoids nicely.
Ironhook feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ironhook seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hickock for as long as he can get away with.

Ironhook tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Ironhook got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hickock has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ironhook has managed to get both his arms back between Hickock's legs - danger averted.
