Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Sahebt!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruno Castro!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Bruno Hogan and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sahebt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sahebt is looking to clinch but Castro is avoiding it.
Castro misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Sahebt gets a clinch.
Castro fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sahebt with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Sahebt drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Castro gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A right hook to the body lands for Sahebt.
Sahebt lands an elbow inside.
Sahebt with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Castro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sahebt is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
James Sahebt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Castro.
Sahebt is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Castro pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Sahebt has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Castro after a bit of a struggle.
Sahebt tries for a takedown. No joy.
Sahebt pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sahebt has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Castro regains guard immediately.

Sahebt would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Sahebt drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Sahebt seems to have locked his on tight now - Castro screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Sahebt, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). James Sahebt!

A very excited looking James Sahebt rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
