Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Atai Shisei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jumbo Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jumbo Joe!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shisei connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Shisei throws a combination that misses
and Joe makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Shisei really felt that one!
Joe tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shisei paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Atai Shisei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Joe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Shisei makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Joe controlling the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Joe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Shisei is squirming around, avoiding Joe's attempts to control the action.
Shisei knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

Shisei takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Joe working for a guillotine from mount but Shisei is in no mood to give up.

Joe wants to control the pace but Shisei is squirming around nicely.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Joe wants to finish this one by submission but Shisei is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Joe.
Shisei really wants to buck Joe off and get back to his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shisei is squirming around, avoiding Joe's attempts to control the action.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Joe is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Shisei to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Shisei shrugs it off.

Joe jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shisei manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Shisei tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Joe is cranking Shisei's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Shisei! He's tightened the choke and Shisei is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jumbo Joe!
