And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Time Boom!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boom clinches.
Rasmussen drops down looking for an ankle pick but Boom pulls his leg out and moves away.

Boom drives through and clinches with Rasmussen against the cage.
Boom lands an uppercut.
Rasmussen is trying to drag Boom to the mat but Boom just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Still in the clinch, Boom scores with a nice short uppercut.
Rasmussen goes for a takedown attempt but Boom pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Melchior Rasmussen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Rasmussen bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ground and pound from Rasmussen seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Rasmussen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Rasmussen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Boom makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Rasmussen has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Time Boom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rasmussen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Rasmussen is nestled in close to Boom, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Rasmussen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
