Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damo Bodhidharma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lil Wayne-Drop the World. Ben Steele has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele misses with a looping right.
Steele throws a lazy right hand but Bodhidharma sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bodhidharma tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Steele manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bodhidharma tries to clinch there but Steele circles away.
Steele misses with a looping left.
Bodhidharma moves to clinch but Steele breaks away
and Steele counters with a two punch combo.

Steele breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Steele avoids the head kick by Bodhidharma.
Bodhidharma tries to clinch there but Steele circles away.

Bodhidharma trying to control the position but instead, Steele has worked for underhooks and has pushed Bodhidharma into the cage.
Steele breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Bodhidharma forces Steele back against the cage and clinches.
Steele keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Bodhidharma's efforts to push away.

Bodhidharma looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Steele wants to get back to striking at distance but Bodhidharma won't allow it.
Steele wants a takedown but no success here.
Steele turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Steele tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Steele has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bodhidharma wants to get back to his feet but Steele drags him back down.
Steele has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Steele looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Steele creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Steele wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bodhidharma keeps working.
Steele controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Steele creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bodhidharma sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Steele is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bodhidharma is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Steele is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Bodhidharma has escaped the position, nice work there.
Steele thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bodhidharma is looking for a sweep.
Steele trying to control the action but Bodhidharma is working from the bottom.
Steele misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Steele will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bodhidharma really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Steele. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bodhidharma is trying to control Steele's posture but Steele avoids it.

Steele is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Bodhidharma is trying to escape and Steele transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Bodhidharma is forced to tap! Nice work there by Steele! Very nice indeed!

Ben Steele decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
