Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Jones!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jones.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Jones tries to bum rush Johnson with a series of wild strikes but Johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jones is defended easily by Johnson.
Jones wants to clinch up but Johnson keeps it at a distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ryan Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Jones is avoiding it.
Johnson dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.

Johnson wants to stand up but Jones has a hold of him and won't allow it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sones Johnson will probably get the nod.

Johnson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jones defends it easily.

Jones gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Jones's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jones duly obliges.

Jones throws an elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Johnson!

Johnson shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close second round but Ryan Jones will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Johnson get back to his feet.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Johnson throws a series of punches but Jones moves out of range.
Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Johnson.

Jones darts in and clinches Johnson up against the cage.
Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Johnson fails to pull guard.
Jones is trying to break the clinch but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.
Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jones fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jones tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ryan Jones comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jones has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

After the fight, Ryan Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
