Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Blaze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Punchinello Harlequin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blaze's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, John Blaze - Fat Joe Ft. Nas, Big Pun, Raekwon. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Punchinello Harlequin!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harlequin scores with the left hand. Blaze knows he should have avoided that one.
Harlequin throws a series of punches but Blaze moves out of range.
Blaze connects with a leg kick. Harlequin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Blaze scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
A jab from Blaze misses.
Harlequin lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Blaze chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Blaze tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harlequin was well out of range. Poor timing from Blaze.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blaze.
Harlequin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Blaze. Blaze obviously looking to wear him down.
Harlequin tries a low kick but Blaze avoids it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Harlequin connects with a leg kick. Blaze looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Blaze tries a head kick but it misses.
Harlequin tries to land a leg kick but Blaze saw it coming and moves away.
Harlequin avoids the body shot from Blaze.
Harlequin swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Harlequin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Blaze tries to get to full guard but Harlequin has control of the leg.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Harlequin is controlling the pace.

Harlequin is keen to just control but Blaze is a slippery customer.

Harlequin thows a huge punch but Blaze dodges it nicely.
Blaze is trying to stand.
Blaze tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Harlequin manages to move to mount!
Harlequin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Blaze takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Harlequin is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Blaze can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Harlequin lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Harlequin tries to control but Blaze wriggling away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Blaze wants to control but Harlequin is having none of it.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Harlequin fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Blaze.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blaze. Harlequin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Harlequin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blaze jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Blaze misses with a double jab
and Harlequin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Harlequin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Blaze is looking to chop away at Harlequin's legs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Blaze. Harlequin does a little dance to reset his feet.
Harlequin lands the left hand.
Harlequin lands a high kick!
Nice uppercut lands for Blaze. That snapped Harlequin's head back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blaze finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Blaze misses with a hook.
Blaze gets caught napping as Harlequin dives in and scores a takedown. Blaze manages to retain guard.
Harlequin throws an elbow that misses. Blaze uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Harlequin's guard. Nice move by Blaze!
Harlequin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Blaze works over Harlequin with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blaze wants to control from the top but Harlequin keeps moving.

Harlequin has control of Blaze's left arm, preventing Blaze from doing any damage.

Blaze has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Harlequin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Blaze.
Blaze pushes Harlequin away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Harlequin gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Blaze is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Blaze is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Harlequin is nestled in close to Blaze, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Blaze pushes Harlequin off but Harlequin dives into side control.
Blaze knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harlequin on the ground.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harlequin is staying tight to Blaze's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Punchinello Harlequin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Harlequin tries to close the distance and clinch but Blaze swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Harlequin creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Blaze is looking to break free of the clinch but Harlequin has double underhooks.
Harlequin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Blazes head.

Blaze is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Harlequin gets through Blaze's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Harlequin's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Blaze wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Harlequin lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Harlequin has Blaze pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Harlequin pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Blaze tumbling to the mat - Harlequin dives into Blaze's guard.

Blaze is wriggling around but Harlequin manages to pass to half guard.
Blaze is looking to get back to full guard here but Harlequin has managed to pass to side control instead.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Blaze is trying to get back to his feet but Harlequin has full control of the position and if anything, Blaze has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Punchinello Harlequin comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Harlequin has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
