The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis moves away from the strike by Caliman.
Davis shoots in and bounces Caliman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Davis throws an elbow that misses. Caliman uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Davis's guard. Nice move by Caliman!
Davis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Caliman.
Davis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Caliman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Caliman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Caliman tries to stand but Davis is controlling from the bottom.
Davis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Caliman is sitting in close to Davis's body. Davis has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Caliman is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Caliman is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Davis.
