Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Koch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Vinyard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Koch comes into the arena with Cradle to Grave - Beheaded in Paris blaring out of the sound system. Vinyard has chosen Here Comes The Pain as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Vinyard misses. Vinyard takes a swing at Koch's ribcage but misses. Koch looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Koch looking to score a takedown here. Vinyard is defending well but Koch drives through and ends up in Vinyard's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Koch looking to pass the guard. Vinyard is trying to control the position but Koch postures up. Koch landing with the ground and pound. Koch passes Vinyard's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Koch stops Vinyard from getting back to his feet.
