Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Damme moves out of range of the strikes.
Van Damme has a takedown stuffed.
Van Damme fails with a takedown attempt.
Van Damme shoots for a takedown but Johannes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Van Damme. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Johannes lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
It looks like Arnold Van Damme has been cut.

Van Damme ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Van Damme no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Van Damme is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Van Damme slows the pace down in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Johannes can do anything to dispel that myth.
Johannes is trying to stand back up but Van Damme is controlling him

Johannes tries to kick Van Damme off but Van Damme keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Van Damme is pressing down on Johannes's thigh, looking to free his foot. Johannes is holding on for now.

Van Damme wants to pass the guard but Johannes is keeping the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Johannes scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Van Damme throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Van Damme wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johannes keeps working.
Van Damme seems to be working for a kimura but Johannes defends the submission attempt.
Van Damme wants to stand up but Johannes is controlling the position.

Johannes is trying to stand back up but Van Damme is controlling him
Van Damme trying to mount his opponent but Johannes defends it.
Van Damme decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Nice takedown defense from Johannes. No joy for Van Damme on that attempt.
Van Damme shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Van Damme tries to move into range but Johannes moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Johannes closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Van Damme! Johannes dives in looking to finish! Van Damme is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
