Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Markov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Marens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marens has chosen Pittbull - Give me everything as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maxim Markov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jake Marens! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Markov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Marens manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Marens looking for subs off his back but Markov has passed one foot through into half guard.
Markov is looking for a kimura here.
Markov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Markov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Marens sees it coming and defends easily. Marens wants to improve his position but Markov is controlling well.
Markov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Marens is just riding it out for now. Markov eventually gives up the hold. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marens is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Markov pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Markov passes to side control. Markov is working Marens over with some ground and pound from side control. Markov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Marens knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Marens's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Marens tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Markov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Markov landing a few strikes. Markov content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Check out the look on Markov's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Markov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Marens manages to work his way to half guard, despite Markov's best efforts. Markov drops an elbow to the side of Marens's head. Marens looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ground and pound from Markov. Markov is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Marens is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Maxim Markov! After winning the bout, Maxim Markov thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
