Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Micheangelo Fripello and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gertinder shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Poacher pinned against the cage. Poacher gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Poacher defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Gertinder.
Poacher scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mohammed Gertinder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poacher tries to clinch up but Gertinder circles away and keeps his distance.
Gertinder stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Gertinder wants it to stay on the feet.
Poacher clinches.
Gertinder jumps guard but Poacher stands there with Gertinder around his waist. Gertinder gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rhodri Poacher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohammed Gertinder.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Gertinder works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Gertinder has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gertinder lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Poacher down.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gertinder is working to tighten is grip on Poacher's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Poacher has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Gertinder is really squeezing tight and eventually Poacher passes out! Gertinder breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
