Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Bennett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Durden comes to the cage accompanied by This is your life. Bennett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stemm - Face The Pain. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyler Durden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Bennett! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bennett misses with a two punch combination.
Durden needs to keep his hands up - Bennett had a free shot at his head there. Bennett tries to move into range but Durden moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Bennett shoots in for a takedown but Durden shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Bennett throws an overhand right that lands on Durden's shoulder, as Durden tries to avoid the shot. Bennett lands a body shot.
Bennett lunges at Durden with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Durden's hand. Durden shoots in but no luck this time. Durden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Durden misses with a wild body shot. Bennett keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bennett looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Bennett seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Durden does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Bennett thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Bennett thows a huge punch but Durden dodges it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. The ground and pound from Bennett seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Bennett creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Durden sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Durden is trying to control Bennett's posture but Bennett avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bennett working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Bennett creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Durden sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Durden takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bennett throws a strike aimed at the side of Durden's head but Durden avoids it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bennett throws an elbow but Durden slips to the side and avoids it well. Bennett sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Durden is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Bennett lands some shots froms side control. Durden avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Bennett. Bennett working the ground and pound but Durden is defending the strikes. Durden can't do much from the bottom here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Durden taking punishment in the form of punches.
This has been an exciting period of action! Bennett throws an elbow but Durden slips to the side and avoids it well. Bennett throws an elbow but Durden slips to the side and avoids it well. Durden is looking for a sweep. An elbow from Bennett crashes against the mat.

Bennett lands an elbow. Durden on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Durden tries to get out of the position. Bennett working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Bennett remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Durden can't do much from the bottom here. Bennett lands an elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden being controlled for a moment. Bennett advances to full mount. Bennett thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Bennett tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Bennett lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bennett postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Durden looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Durden that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bennett is landing with some decent strikes but Durden is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bennett breaks from Durden's wrist control and lands an elbow. Bennett lands a big shot there that rocks Durden but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Durden is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bennett has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Durden's face.
Oh Durden is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Bennett controlling from mount. Bennett drops a big elbow. That's hurt Durden! More shots from Bennett and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brad Bennett! Brad Bennett very nearly forgot to thank Torment Fightwear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
