Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Rahman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stefan Hentschel! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hentschel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rahman circles away. A swing and a miss from Rahman. Hentschel clinches with his opponent.
Hentschel jumps guard but Rahman stands there with Hentschel around his waist. Hentschel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Hentschel has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rahman uses from the top position. Rahman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rahman trying to control the position from guard on top but Hentschel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hentschel wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Rahman is now in half guard. Hentschel tries to get to full guard but Rahman has control of the leg. Rahman tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hentschel slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hentschel controls Rahman momentarily but Rahman frees himself. Hentschel is looking for a triangle here but Rahman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hentschel is trying to improve his position. Hentschel is not content to let Rahman control the position. Hentschel sneaks back into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hentschel is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rahman perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rahman looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Hentschel is looking to improve his position.
Rahman tries to stand and escape but Hentschel is controlling the position. Hentschel is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rahman pulls his head out easily. Hentschel is trying to control but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rahman is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Rahman is looking for a kimura but Hentschel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rahman to get the leverage. Rahman is thwarting Hentschel's attempts to control the position. Hentschel is refusing to be controlled, as Rahman sits in half guard. Hentschel is trying to control but can't.
Hentschel looks like he's trying to stand up.
Hentschel wants to get back to full guard. Hentschel looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rahman is trying to control the action in half guard but Hentschel is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hentschel moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Rahman controls from within his opponent's guard. Hentschel is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rahman trying to control but Hentschel postures up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rahman is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hentschel pulls his head out easily. Hentschel missing with the ground and pound from half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stefan Hentschel dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Rahman drops his hands momentarily and Hentschel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Rahman ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rahman pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Rahman uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hentschel. Hentschel moves in looking to clinch but Rahman pushes him off. Rahman jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Good standup being displayed there by Rahman as he connects with a hook. Rahman doesn't manage to clinch there - Hentschel circles away.
Hentschel throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Carlos Rahman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Horrible takedown by Hentschel or perhaps it was just good defense by Rahman which made him look bad. Rahman lands with a right hand. Rahman tries to clinch up but Hentschel circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rahman misses with a body shot.
No luck for Hentschel with that takedown attempt. Hentschel wants to land a leg kick but Rahman is out of range. Rahman uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Hentschel. Rahman lands with an overhand left. Hentschel is looking to clinch. Rahman swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hentschel counters with a left to the body. Rahman throws a right and a left that both miss. Hentschel thuds his right hand into Rahman's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Rahman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Hentschel throws a lazy right hand but Rahman sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Hentschel jabs Rahman to the body, keeping him at a distance. A solid leg kick lands there for Hentschel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rahman takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hentschel stalks Rahman and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Rahman's face. Rahman staggers backwards, shaken.
Rahman is rocked! Rahman scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hentschel is defended easily by Rahman. Carlos Rahman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefan Hentschel. Rahman moves out of range as Hentschel strikes. Hentschel misses with a hook
enabling Rahman to counter with a crisp jab. Rahman looks to land a right hand but Hentschel moved out of range. Rahman avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Hentschel misses with a hook to the body
and Rahman counters with a two punch combo. Rahman doesn't manage to clinch there - Hentschel circles away.
Hentschel throws a wild body kick that Rahman sees coming a mile off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rahman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hentschel moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rahman thows a left - swing and a miss! Hentschel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hentschel shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hentschel throws a right hand that misses
and Rahman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hentschel is rocked! Rahman ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Hentschel's jaw. Hentschel's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Rahman does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Carlos Rahman! Carlos Rahman bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
