Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Boyka Yuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeph Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yuri gets a double leg takedown into Howard's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Howard tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Yuri sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Howard's guard.
Howard is looking for a sweep. Yuri is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Howard regains full guard. Nicely done.

Howard manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Yuri manages to get himself to full guard.
Yuri controls Howard momentarily but Howard frees himself.

Yuri has his foot on Howard's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Howard works his way back into a safe position though.

Yuri is trying to escape the position but Howard is controlling the position.
Howard cracks Yuri with a big right hand but Yuri just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Howard shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Yuri napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Yuri is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Howard is looking to take a break and control but Yuri is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Howard creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
You can see the frustration on Yuri's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Howard has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Howard cracks Yuri with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Howard immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Yuri is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Howard!
