Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piotr Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Coleman! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nowak will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Coleman shoots in and gets a takedown into Nowak's guard. Coleman must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Coleman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Coleman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Nowak wants to hit a switch here but Coleman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Nowak there! Nowak is squirming around, avoiding Coleman's attempts to control the action. Nowak blocking the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman looking to control but Nowak is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Coleman fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nowak is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Coleman lands with some strikes. Coleman throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Coleman controlling his opponent. Coleman with a couple of short strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Coleman trying to control but Nowak is having none of it. Coleman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Nowak's face.
Coleman is landing with some decent strikes but Nowak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Nowak wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Coleman.
Coleman throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Nowak because Coleman loaded up on that one. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Coleman raining down hammerfists from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nowak has his takedown stuffed and Coleman counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Coleman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Coleman is figuring out what he wants to do next. Coleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nowak keeps working. Coleman is taking a breather. Nowak says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Mark Coleman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Nowak swings away with a leg kick that misses. Nowak scores with a sloppy right hand. Coleman should have avoided that one. Nowak cracks Coleman with a right hand to the side of the head. Horrible takedown by Nowak or perhaps it was just good defense by Coleman which made him look bad. Coleman moves away from the strike by Nowak. Nowak's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Coleman connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nowak scrambles back to his feet. Coleman misses with a body shot.

Nowak misses with a takedown and Coleman cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Piotr Nowak. That's going to take a lot out of him. Coleman scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Nowak tries for a takedown but Coleman circles away easily and Coleman counters with a nice uppercut. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nowak misses with a takedown attempt and Coleman counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Piotr Nowak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Coleman has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Coleman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Coleman is stalling here.

The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Coleman lands a nice shot to the body. Coleman leaning his opponent against the cage. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Nowak. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. A hook to the body from Coleman.

Let's hope that Coleman has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Piotr Nowak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Coleman lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Nowak down.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Coleman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Coleman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
