Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Napoleon Moreau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar Viapondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Viapondo is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Cypress Hill . I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Napoleon Moreau! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cesar Viapondo! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Viapondo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Viapondo scores with a body shot.
Viapondo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Moreau. Viapondo misses with a low kick.
Moreau checks the leg kick nicely there.
Moreau looks for a takedown but Viapondo sprawls well. Moreau shoots in looking for a takedown but Viapondo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Moreau's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Moreau fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Viapondo to the ground. Moreau is now in Viapondo's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Viapondo wants to sweep but no luck. Moreau is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Moreau will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Moreau has gone for a leg lock! Viapondo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Moreau's guard. Moreau has Viapondo pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moreau is trying to control the position but Viapondo postures up. Moreau is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Napoleon Moreau wasn't doing enough on the ground. Moreau takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Moreau fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Napoleon Moreau. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moreau has a takedown stuffed. Viapondo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Moreau was well out of range. Poor timing from Viapondo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Viapondo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Moreau manages to avoid it. Moreau fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Moreau blocks a jab. Viapondo tries to score with a low kick but Moreau moves his leg out of the way. Viapondo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Viapondo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Moreau shoots in and bounces Viapondo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Moreau throws a big right hand that misses. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Viapondo can do anything to dispel that myth. Moreau postures up in Viapondo's guard and throws a big left but Viapondo blocks it. Viapondo preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moreau working some strikes from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moreau lands a couple of decent looking shots. Moreau postures up.
Moreau missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Moreau is stalling in the full guard. Moreau thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Moreau slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Viapondo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moreau can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Moreau drops back looking for a leg! Viapondo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Viapondo manages to kick Moreau off! Moreau jumps back into Viapondo's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moreau sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Viapondo's guard. Moreau missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Moreau is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Viapondo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moreau. Viapondo on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moreau perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Viapondo wants to improve his position but Moreau is controlling well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moreau is working for a kimura but Viapondo is defending it quite comfortably.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Napoleon Moreau dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Viapondo closes the distance looking to clinch and Moreau counters with a nice double leg into side control. Viapondo won't be happy with that. Moreau has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Moreau trying to control the action but Viapondo is working from the bottom. Moreau is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Viapondo knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Moreau tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moreau thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Napoleon Moreau overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Viapondo is looking to reverse the position. Moreau is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Viapondo looks calm but he's in trouble here. Moreau gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Viapondo is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Moreau lets go of the hold and Viapondo can pop his arm back in it's socket.
