Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shunsui Kyoraku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kris Vecetti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shunsui Kyoraku has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shunsui Kyoraku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kris Vecetti! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyoraku gets caught napping as Vecetti dives in and scores a takedown. Kyoraku manages to retain guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Vecetti scoring with some ground and pound. Vecetti is in close to Kyoraku's body, working some short punches and elbows. Vecetti slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Kyoraku working a defensive guard here.
Kyoraku is working an open guard so Vecetti takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Vecetti throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kyoraku was covering up waiting for the punch and Vecetti finishes the takedown easily into guard. Vecetti has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This has been an exciting period of action! Vecetti is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kyoraku working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vecetti. Vecetti controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Vecetti's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Vecetti working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyoraku preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kyoraku knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vecetti on the ground. Vecetti throws a big right hand that misses. Kyoraku preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vecetti trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vecetti accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Vecetti lands a couple of decent looking shots. Vecetti connects with a couple of short punches. Vecetti content to stall in guard here. Vecetti throws a big elbow that misses. Kyoraku keeping moving, preventing Vecetti from controlling successfully. Vecetti stands up and waves to Kyoraku to follow him. Kyoraku is looking to slow Vecetti down with leg kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kyoraku.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kyoraku moves into the clinch successfully.
Kyoraku misses with a short punch on the inside. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Vecetti as Kyoraku tries to tie him up. Vecetti with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyoraku is trying to force a seperation but Vecetti has the dominant position. Kyoraku tries to stall but Vecetti uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Vecetti keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kyoraku's efforts to push away. Kyoraku gets underhooks to prevent Vecetti's takedown attempt.
The referee calls for Kyoraku to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Vecetti looking for a takedown. Shunsui Kyoraku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Vecetti. Kyoraku wants to get back to striking at distance but Vecetti won't allow it.
Kyoraku tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Kyoraku trying to control the position but instead, Vecetti has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kyoraku into the cage. Kyoraku stops a takedown attempt from Vecetti.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kyoraku pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Vecetti dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Kyoraku lands a leg kick that knocks Vecetti off balance momentarily. Kyoraku avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Vecetti scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Vecetti working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Vecetti scores with a couple of short elbows. Vecetti lands a few punches from side control. Kyoraku managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Vecetti.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Kyoraku manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kris Vecetti has got the better of the ground game so far. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kyoraku wants to improve his position but Vecetti is controlling well.
Vecetti lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Vecetti thows a huge punch but Kyoraku dodges it nicely.
Vecetti is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vecetti working over Kyoraku with some ground and pound. Kyoraku looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Vecetti lands strikes from half guard. Kyoraku has hold of Vecetti's hands but Vecetti slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kyoraku is trying to stand back up but Vecetti is controlling him
Vecetti slips a nice elbow through Kyoraku's hands, connecting with Kyoraku's forehead. Vecetti lands with a punch from half guard. Kyoraku is trying to get back to full guard. Vecetti missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kyoraku wants to control but Vecetti is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kyoraku on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Vecetti wants to pass to mount but Kyoraku is defending the position. Vecetti scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vecetti working Kyoraku over with strikes. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kyoraku wants to get back to full guard. Kyoraku is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Vecetti scores with a couple of nice shots. Vecetti missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Vecetti in particular looking to stall. Vecetti gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Vecetti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Vecetti is breathing heavily. Vecetti with a flurry of punches that miss. Vecetti trying to control the position from guard on top but Kyoraku is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vecetti throws a big elbow that misses. Vecetti distracts Kyoraku with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Vecetti is stalling in the full guard. Vecetti trying to control but Kyoraku is working from the bottom. Vecetti postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyoraku avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kyoraku tries to land a sweep but no joy. Vecetti postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Vecetti is looking to work some ground and pound but Kyoraku has wrist control. Vecetti with a nice head shot there. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kyoraku working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vecetti. Vecetti throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Vecetti is in close to Kyoraku's body, working some short punches and elbows. Vecetti is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Vecetti showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Kyoraku tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Vecetti is looking to clinch but Kyoraku is avoiding it.
Vecetti lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kyoraku circles away quickly and effectively. Vecetti avoids the head kick by Kyoraku.
Vecetti tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kyoraku swivels and escapes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kyoraku clinches up against the cage. Vecetti has picked Kyoraku up - he's going for a ride! Vecetti dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vecetti looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kyoraku with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Vecetti landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Vecetti throwing shots but Kyoraku is blocking nicely. Kyoraku blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vecetti. Vecetti throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kyoraku blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vecetti. Kyoraku pushes Vecetti off looking to stand but Vecetti dives back in and keeps control.
Vecetti is nestled in close to Kyoraku, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Vecetti missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Well, if Vecetti is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Vecetti wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kyoraku keeps working. Vecetti takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vecetti seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Vecetti lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Vecetti stands up and beckons Kyoraku to join him on the feet. Vecetti fails to land the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vecetti shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kyoraku as he avoids it easily. Shunsui Kyoraku has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kris Vecetti. Kyoraku misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kyoraku closes the distance and clinches. Vecetti stalling in the clinch but Kyoraku improves position. Vecetti keeps control of Kyoraku as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kyoraku is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Shunsui Kyoraku has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Vecetti has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kyoraku after a bit of a struggle. Kyoraku throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Vecettis head. Vecetti has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kyoraku is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. The referee calls for Kyoraku to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Vecetti goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kyoraku prevents it.
And that's the end of the fight! Kris Vecetti comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Vecetti winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
