Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riggs Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikita Kalashnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas comes to the cage accompanied by "I Know you Want Me" by Pitbull. On his way into the cage it seems that Riggs Thomas has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Riggs Thomas seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, George Francis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Thomas wants to work for an arm triangle but Kalashnikov is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Thomas prevents Kalashnikov from improving his position.
Thomas is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Kalashnikov wants to get back to full guard.
Thomas tries to pass to full mount but Kalashnikov defends it.
Kalashnikov is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Thomas pulls his head out easily.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kalashnikov shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Thomas counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Thomas wants to pass the guard but Kalashnikov is keeping the position.

Thomas drops back looking for a leg! Kalashnikov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kalashnikov manages to kick Thomas off! Thomas jumps back into Kalashnikov's guard.

Thomas wants to pass to mount but Kalashnikov is defending the position.
Kalashnikov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kalashnikov.
Kalashnikov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kalashnikov is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kalashnikov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Thomas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kalashnikov is pushing down on Thomas's leg trying to pass to half guard. Thomas is fighting to maintain full guard but Kalashnikov has managed to sneak the leg through.

Thomas has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kalashnikov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Thomas is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Kalashnikov has his hands clasped together but Thomas extends an breaks Kalashnikov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Thomas.
