Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Kim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan iel Russo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Russo shoots for a double leg takedown but Kim sprawls well. He's pushed Russo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kim shoots for a takedown but Russo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Russo wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fight stays on the outside here - Russo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kim closes the distance and clinches up with Russo, looking for a takedown. Kim pushes Russo against the cage but Russo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kim doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Russo makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Kim. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kim is breathing heavily.
Kim circles away from the clinch attempt.
Russo wants to clinch.
Russo gets caught flat footed, as Kim shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Russo is on top in guard.
Kim looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Russo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kim knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Russo on the ground.
Kim wants to sweep but Russo has passed to side control!
Russo is looking to take a break and control but Kim is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Russo decides to stand back up. Russo steps back and let's Kim get back to his feet.
Russo shoots in but no luck this time.
Russo wants to clinch.
Russo is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Kim with a lazy takedown attempt
and Russo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Russo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kim's waist but Kim gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Russo off to one side.
Kim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kim shoots and misses
and Russo counters with a nice leg kick.
Russo lands a head kick. Kim smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Russo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kim is rocked!

Russo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kim does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Kim shoots and misses
and Russo counters with a one-two to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Russo with a poor takedown
and Kim counters with a nice double leg into side control. Russo won't be happy with that.

Kim cracks Russo with a big right hand but Russo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Russo throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Some wild striking there from Russo.
Russo throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Kim colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Russo as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Kim is left battered and dazed whilst Russo and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dan iel Russo!
