Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Max Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Cragen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Collins comes to the cage accompanied by Irish Rebel Song. Cragen has chosen Captain Cragen as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Don Cragen! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins throws a series of punches but Cragen moves out of range. Cragen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Collins wants to get back to his feet.
Cragen not landing any meaningful shots this time. Collins is trying to stand.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Collins leaves Cragen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. No luck for Cragen with that takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Collins. Collins tried to score with a low kick but Cragen checks it. Cragen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Collins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cragen manages to avoid it. Collins feints and as Cragen raises his hands in defense, Collins changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Cragen avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Collins wants to control from the top but Cragen keeps moving. Cragen wants to stand and escape but Collins is having none of it. Cragen trying to keep a closed guard but Collins is proving a slippery customer.
Collins is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Collins throws a big elbow that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cragen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Collins defends well. Collins wants to get up but he can't break Cragen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Collins prevents Cragen from getting back to his feet. Collins throws a big right hand that misses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Cragen is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Collins is controlling him. Cragen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Collins escapes and throws Cragen's legs to the side, diving into side control! The ground and pound from Collins seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Collins is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Cragen is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cragen pushes Collins away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Collins gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Collins throwing shots but missing, from side control. Cragen is looking to reverse the position. Collins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cragen keeps working. Cragen prevents Collins from moving into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cragen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Collins off and has taken his back! Cragen is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Collins up.
Cragen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Collins is defending well though. Cragen let's go of the attempt for now. Collins wants to get back to his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cragen is looking for the choke from the back position but Collins is controlling his hands well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Max Collins will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Cragen counters with a lovely straight right hand! Cragen misses with a takedown attempt - Collins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Collins tries to land a front kick but Cragen steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Cragen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Collins is trying to stand up here but Cragen is controlling him well. Cragen working over Collins with some ground and pound. Collins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Cragen is just content to waste time from the top position. Collins takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Collins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cragen's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Collins is working Cragen over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Collins in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Collins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Collins throws an elbow that misses. Cragen uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Collins's guard. Nice move by Cragen! Cragen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Collins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cragen has managed to get both his arms back between Collins's legs - danger averted. Cragen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Collins's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cragen wants to stand and escape but instead Collins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Collins throws a big right hand that misses. Cragen trying to keep a closed guard but Collins is proving a slippery customer.

Cragen is not content to let Collins control the position. Max Collins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Collins throwing strikes but Cragen manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! You can see the frustration on Collins's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Max Collins wasn't doing enough on the ground. Cragen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Cragen dives in and grabs Collins's left leg, looking for a takedown. Collins pushes down on Cragen's head and hops out. Cragen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Max Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Don Cragen. Collins misses with the combination.
Collins pushes Cragen up against the cage in a clinch. Collins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Max Collins is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A combination from Collins does no damage. Cragen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cragen shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Collins manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Collins preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Collins wants to get back to his feet but Cragen is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Cragen working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Cragen throwing strikes but missing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
We're going to have a standup here because Max Collins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cragen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Collins circles away. Cragen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Collins's waist but Collins gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cragen off to one side. Collins lands a lovely overhand right. Cragen misses with a takedown attempt - Collins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Collins lands a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Cragen takes a body punch but keeps moving. Collins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cragen. Collins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Collins controls the position.

Cragen dodges the ground and pound from Collins. Collins lands a nice forearm strike. Cragen is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Check out the look on Collins's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Collins looks up at the clock and then as Cragen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Collins smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

They are putting on a show! Collins wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cragen, who protects the arm well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Collins misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that's the end of the fight! Max Collins showed his dominance in that final round. Well Collins has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
