The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alleman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Alleman seems to be working for a kimura but Black defends the submission attempt.
Alleman is working for a submission of some sort.
Alleman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Black keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black wants to improve his position but Alleman is controlling well.

Alleman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Black does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Alleman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Black is just riding it out for now. Alleman eventually gives up the hold.
Black is trying to control but can't.

Alleman thows a huge punch but Black dodges it nicely.
Black moves into full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Black is on top in guard.
Alleman pushes a forearm under Black's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Black is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
