The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Prado darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Prado seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hugs does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Prado is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Prado is looking for a kimura here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prado seems to be looking for submissions.
Hugs tries to get to full guard but Prado has control of the leg.

Hugs is working an open guard so Prado takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

and Prado counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Hugs!

Prado tries to get the hooks in deep but Hugs pushed the leg off.

Prado thows a strike but Hugs uses the opportunity to reverse the position! Great move by Hugs as he ends up in Prado 's guard!

Prado looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Prado had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hugs defends it easily.
Prado trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Prado could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Prado tries to close the distance and clinch but Hugs swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kurtis Hugs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hugs throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hugs connects with a single shot there.
Hugs throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Hugs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Prado.
No joy there for Hugs, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Prado moves forwards but Hugs connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Prado misses with a double jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Prado closes the distance and clinches.
Hugs is pressed up against the cage. Prado has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hugs down to the mat. Hugs avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Prado checks the leg kick nicely there.
Hugs throws a front kick aimed at Prado's knee but Prado avoids it well.
Hugs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hugs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Prado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hugs throws out a leg kick but Prado moves out of range and Hugs only half commits.
Prado moves in looking to clinch but Hugs pushes him off.
Hugs swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Hugs pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Hugs dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Hugs looks to land a left hand but Prado moved out of range nicely.
Prado is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hugs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Prado gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Hugs lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hugs lands a left and a right that send Prado crashing to the mat, dazed. Hugs thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Prado is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hugs jabs Prado to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hugs moves into range and connects with a jab.
Oh Prado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hugs looks to land a combination but Prado avoids it well.
Are you kidding me?! Hugs ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Prado clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
