Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Minori Kunikida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ajax Anstice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ajax Anstice is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anstice throws a right and a left that Kunikida avoids nicely.
Kunikida slips a jab and a cross from Anstice.
Kunikida is looking to slow Anstice down with leg kicks.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Anstice is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kunikida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Anstice shoots in and drives through. Kunikida sprawls well.

It looks like Minori Kunikida has been cut.
Anstice wants to control the pace but Kunikida is squirming around nicely.

Anstice wants to get back to his feet but Kunikida is holding on tight.

Anstice gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Kunikida changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anstice tries to avoid it but Kunikida manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anstice to the ground. Anstice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Anstice takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Anstice parries the strikes from Kunikida easily there. Kunikida is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Anstice to escape.
Anstice is not content to let Kunikida control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kunikida is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Anstice knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
