Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Corey Norman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Don Taskme!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taskme fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Taskme connects with a single shot there.
Norman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Norman decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Norman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Taskme to the ground. Norman is now in Taskme's guard.
Norman trying to control the position from guard on top but Taskme is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Norman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Taskme wants to sweep but no luck.

Taskme is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Norman advances position into side control!
Taskme is pushing Norman's head away, looking to escape. Norman manages to hold on to the position though.

Norman wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taskme keeps working.
Norman is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Taskme knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Taskme is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Norman decides to stand back up. Norman steps back and let's Taskme get back to his feet.

Taskme fails in his attempt to clinch.
Norman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Taskme's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Taskme parries the strikes from Norman easily there. Norman is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Taskme to escape.
Norman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Taskme is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Norman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Taskme has escaped the position, nice work there.

Norman wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Taskme, who protects the arm well.

Norman in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Norman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Taskme is defending against the submission attempts here by Norman.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Norman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Taskme doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Norman.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Norman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Taskme cracks Norman with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Taskme tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Norman manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Norman gets a double leg takedown into Taskme's guard.
Norman throwing strikes from guard but Taskme blocks nicely.
Norman wants to pass the guard but Taskme is keeping the position.
Taskme really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Norman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Taskme is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Norman gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Norman will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Norman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Taskme looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Taskme is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Taskme wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Norman has him pressed against the cage.
Norman tries to work over Taskme's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Taskme has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Norman pulls guard.
Taskme content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Norman has locked up a guillotine! Norman's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Taskme is holding on here and Norman must be using up a lot of energy. Taskme has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Norman gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
