Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Theo Fire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rashed Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rashed Evans will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Theo Fire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rashed Evans! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fire moves into the clinch successfully.
Fire effectively controlling the action here. Evans wants a takedown but no success here.
Fire pulls guard successfully.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Fire scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fire shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Evans can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fire controls the pace. Fire decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Evans, up you get! Fire gets a double leg takedown into Evans's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fire sitting in guard, not really doing much. Evans will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fire is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fire passes Evans's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Fire content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Fire's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Fire slips a nice elbow through Evans's hands, connecting with Evans's forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Fire in particular looking to stall.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Theo Fire just wasn't active enough. Fire takes the fight into the clinch. Fire gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Evans.
Fire gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Fire engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fire stands and throws Evans's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fire working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Evans wants to control but Fire postures up. Fire is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Evans will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Fire seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Evans for as long as he can get away with. Evans looks gassed! Fire stands up and beckons Evans to his feet. Fire shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Evans napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fire is working to tighten is grip on Evans's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Evans has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Fire is really squeezing tight and eventually Evans passes out! Fire breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
