Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Swags Middleton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ruben Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Santana has chosen There Will Be Violence as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ruben Santana is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Swags Middleton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruben Santana! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Santana working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Middleton bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! Middleton works over Santana's head and body with a nice combination. Middleton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Santana swats him away and circles back towards the center. Middleton throws a series of punches but Santana avoids them all with ease. Santana drives through with a takedown into Middleton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Santana wants to control from the top but Middleton keeps moving. Santana controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Santana won't allow Middleton to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santana pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Middleton is keeping the position for now. Middleton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Santana stops Middleton from standing up. Santana passes into half guard. Middleton is trying to stand back up but Santana is controlling him
Santana wants to stand but Middleton has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Santana is just content to waste time from the top position. Middleton takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Santana postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Middleton can't keep his opponent in guard - Santana advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Middleton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Middleton lands a head shot. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Santana with a poor takedown and Middleton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Santana gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Middleton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. The fight moves into the clinch position. Santana pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santana keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Middleton slips a straight right by Santana.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Middleton throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Santana fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jab by Middleton. Middleton moves into the clinch. Middleton manages to break the clinch.
Santana wants to clinch up but Middleton keeps it at a distance. Santana ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Santana misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Swags Middleton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ruben Santana. Santana moves into range and clinches up with Middleton. Santana goes for a takedown in the clinch but Middleton prevents it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santana has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Middleton uses from the top position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Santana has an active guard here but Middleton has managed to pass into half guard.
Middleton stands up and beckons Santana to join him on the feet. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. No luck for Santana with that takedown attempt. Middleton with a hook. Middleton drops Santana with a beautiful combination! Santana stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Middleton is looking for the KO!
Santana is rocked! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Middleton moves into range and clinches up with Santana. Santana is still on wobbly legs! Can Middleton finish him? Middleton breaks from the clinch.
Middleton connects with a nice cross there... Santana is looking wobbly and Middleton recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Santana to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Middleton jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
