The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan lands a really nice looking cross but Johnson seems unphased.
Chan doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Chan jabs Johnson right on the nose. Johnson blinks but takes it well.
Chan scores with a one two! Johnson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Chan connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chan throws a right hand that Johnson ducks under and follows up with a left that Johnson also avoids with ease.
Johnson closes the distance and clinches.

Johnson tries to pull guard but Chan forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Johnson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Chan fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Johnson drops his hands momentarily and Chan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Chan scores with a hook to the body. Johnson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Chan digs a good hook to Johnson's body.
Chan paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Oooooh!!! Chan has knocked Johnson down with a huge combo! Chan steps away and waves a wobbly Johnson back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chan lands a right hook to the body.
Chan connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Johnson! He's out on his feet! Chan rushes in and drops Johnson with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
