Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Victor Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Corey Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corey Wright!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wright counters with a stiff right hand.
Wright bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Wright moves away from the strike by Ortiz.
Ortiz feints a jab promting Wright to slip. Ortiz then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wright slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
It looks like Corey Wright has been cut.

Wright takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Wright moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Ortiz is rocked!
Wright lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Ortiz out cold! Ortiz is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the ropes! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Corey Wright!
Corey Wright decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
