Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gan Dalf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamie McKenna!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McKenna looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Dalf!
McKenna prevents Dalf from getting the reversal.
McKenna sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Dalf is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

McKenna looking to secure an arm triangle but Dalf defends it well.

McKenna has hold of Dalf's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Dalf manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Dalf bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Dalf could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Dalf wants to control from the top but McKenna keeps moving.

McKenna looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Dalf is pushing down on McKenna's leg trying to pass to half guard. McKenna is fighting to maintain full guard but Dalf has managed to sneak the leg through.

McKenna looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
McKenna is trying to get back to full guard.
McKenna slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

McKenna looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dalf wants to control from the top but McKenna keeps moving.
Dalf is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We're going to have a standup here because Gan Dalf wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dalf enables McKenna to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dalf manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McKenna postures up.
McKenna trying to control but Dalf is working from the bottom.

Dalf is working an open guard so McKenna takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Dalf leaves McKenna with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
McKenna looks gassed!
Dalf tries to clinch but McKenna moves out of range.
Dalf misses with a few strikes there.

McKenna decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dalf is looking to improve his position.
McKenna is looking to advance position but Dalf won't allow it.
Dalf is trying to stand.
Dalf trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

McKenna seems to be looking for submissions.

McKenna is trying for a kimura here. Dalf looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! McKenna wins by kimura!

During a confident post fight interview, Jamie McKenna thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
