Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jayden Harrison!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Par Lyndll!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Harrison.
Lyndll fails with the takedown
and Harrison counters with a right hand to the body.
Harrison uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Harrison takes a swing at Lyndll's ribcage but misses.
Harrison throws a series of punches but Lyndll avoids them all with ease.
Lyndll takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Harrison fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Harrison tries to keep at a distance but Lyndll has taken the fight into the clinch.
Harrison can't break the clinch.
Harrison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lyndll's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harrison looks to land a body kick but Lyndll moved away.
Harrison tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Nice takedown defense from Lyndll. No joy for Harrison on that attempt.
Harrison shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lyndll defends it nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lyndll is looking to clinch.

Lyndll clinches with his opponent.
Harrison is trying to break the clinch but Lyndll has him pressed against the cage.
Harrison working hard to break the clinch.
Lyndll will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Harrison up against the cage.
Harrison wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Lyndll pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Harrison.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Harrison throwing strikes but Lyndll manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lyndll working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Lyndll taking a breather here.
Lyndll tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Harrison wants to get back to his feet but Lyndll drags him back down.
Lyndll lands a few punches from side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lyndll wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Harrison, who protects the arm well.

Lyndll stands up.
Harrison tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lyndll shoots in looking for a takedown. Harrison tries to sprawl out of it but Lyndll keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harrison manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lyndll has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Harrison finds it's way round the side to connect with Lyndll's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harrison lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lyndll circles away quickly and effectively.
Harrison tries a low kick but Lyndll avoids it.
Lyndll's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Harrison connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Lyndll scrambles back to his feet.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Harrison, as that shot connected.
Harrison cracks Lyndll with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lyndll pivots, looking for a leg kick but Harrison is out of range and Lyndll settles back down.
Harrison wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Harrison scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Harrison throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lyndll stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Harrison lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.


Lyndll is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Harrison has cracked Lyndll with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Harrison lands another huge swinging hook and Lyndll tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Lyndll, before Harrison can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jayden Harrison!
An out of breath Jayden Harrison thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
