Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gino Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Gino Colon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jay Garcia! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia closes this distance looking for a takedown but Colon circles away. Colon throws a good cross that connects.
Garcia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Colon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Garcia moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Garcia looks for a takedown but Colon sprawls well. Colon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Colon misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jab by Colon. A right-left combo lands from Colon. Colon cracks Garcia with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Colon stuffs the takedown. Gino Colon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Garcia. Garcia walks into a jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Colon leaves Garcia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Colon lands with a right hand. Garcia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Colon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Garcia wants to pass the guard but Colon is defending well. Colon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Garcia thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Colon's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garcia prevents Colon from standing back up.
Garcia is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Colon doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Garcia. Garcia sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Colon defending well though. Garcia uses his free foot to push down on Colon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Colon. Garcia can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Colon is looking to escape. Colon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Colon is trying to stand but he's just given Garcia his back. Colon is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Colon trying to get back to his feet but Garcia is in full control for now. Garcia sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Colon taps out!
