PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jarmo Laukkanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Archibald Tuttle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laukkanen comes into the arena with The Mutilation of Christ blaring out of the sound system. Tuttle has chosen RAWR as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Archibald Tuttle struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 146.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jarmo Laukkanen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Archibald Tuttle!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laukkanen throws a head kick that misses.
Laukkanen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tuttle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Laukkanen tries to avoid it but Tuttle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Laukkanen to the ground. Laukkanen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Tuttle rushes Laukkanen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Laukkanen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Laukkanen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tuttle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tuttle is bucking up trying to escape but Laukkanen cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Laukkanen wants to control the pace but Tuttle is squirming around nicely.

Laukkanen perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Laukkanen lands a nice short elbow.
Laukkanen is nestled in close to Tuttle, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tuttle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Laukkanen was well out of range. Poor timing from Tuttle.

Tuttle has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Laukkanen finds it's way round the side to connect with Tuttle's head.

Tuttle will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Laukkanen lands a monster head kick that reverborates around the arena! The crowd goes wild as Tuttle crumples to the floor! Laukkanen milks the crowd's applause and if that isn't knockout of the night, I will be very surprised!
