Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frankie Riiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: One Man Army. Joe Machida will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riiser rushes Machida and presses him up against the cage.
Riiser looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Machida successfully pulls guard.
Machida is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Machida working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Riiser doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Riiser manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Machida has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Riiser can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Frankie Riiser.
Machida shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Riiser is trying to defend but Machida finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
