Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Luis!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Luis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Thomas is staying active underneath Luis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Luis looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Thomas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Luis is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thomas to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thomas shrugs it off.

Luis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Thomas can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Luis breaks from Thomas's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Thomas squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Luis misses with a takedown attempt - Thomas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Luis shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Luis was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Luis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Thomas is looking to improve his position but Luis isn't that keen on the idea.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Luis sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Luis landing strikes, looking to finish!
Luis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Luis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Thomas is looking to escape.

Luis is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Thomas is forced to tap! Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Gabriel Luis!
A less than humble Gabriel Luis misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
