Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Lou da Vinci and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rekdal clobbers Destruction with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rekdal rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Destruction counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Destruction loads up on a big right hand but Rekdal slips the punch.
Rekdal tries a low kick but Destruction avoids it.
A jab from Rekdal finds it's way through Destruction's defenses.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Destruction misses with a body shot.
Rekdal with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Destruction takes a swing at Rekdal's ribcage but misses.
Rekdal slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Destruction throws a lazy right hand but Rekdal sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Shawn Destruction seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rekdal throws a solid leg kick but Destruction takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rekdal.

Destruction takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
The fighters circle momentarily. Rekdal darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Destruction dives in and grabs Rekdal's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rekdal pushes down on Destruction's head and hops out.
Destruction digs a good hook to Rekdal's body.

Rekdal throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Rekdal lands a nice leg kick that just misses Destruction's sensitive parts.

and Rekdal makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Thorbjorn Rekdal is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Destruction looks gassed!
Destruction does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Rekdal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Destruction has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Rekdal looks for the body kick but Destruction saw that one coming.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Destruction tries to clinch but Rekdal moves away

and Rekdal counters by moving into the clinch.
Rekdal works on Destruction's body with a couple of short punches.

Rekdal is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Rekdal's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rekdal looks to throw the jab but Destruction is out of range.

and Destruction counters with a nice body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rekdal connects with a leg kick. Destruction looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A solid leg kick lands there for Rekdal.
Rekdal thumps Destruction with a low kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Rekdal just misses with a punch to the body.
Destruction looks for a takedown but Rekdal sprawls well.
Rekdal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Rekdal bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Destruction's head backwards.

Rekdal feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Destruction sprawling to the canvas! Destruction rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rekdal finish him?!

Destruction is rocked!

Destruction throws a poor cross that misses
and Rekdal counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Destruction out cold! What a finish! Rekdal is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
