Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmi Ortega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Byrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Byrd comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Swagzilla - DKINGKILLA kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ortega is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ortega as Byrd shoots in.
Ortega is breathing heavily.
Ortega circles away from the clinch attempt.
Byrd lands a high kick!
It looks like Jimmi Ortega has been cut.
Byrd is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Byrd lunges at Ortega with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ortega's hand.

Byrd tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ortega paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Byrd closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ortega to the mat! Ortega manages to get full guard.
Ortega is rocked!
Byrd wants to stand but Ortega is controlling his posture from full guard.
Oh Ortega is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Ortega knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Byrd on the ground.
Byrd slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Byrd stands up and beckons Ortega to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Byrd shoots in and drives through. Ortega sprawls well.
Byrd shoots for a double leg takedown but Ortega sprawls well. He's pushed Byrd's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jimmi Ortega has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Byrd.
Byrd feints a jab and as Ortega dips his head, Byrd unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Ortega right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Ortega falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Byrd smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Tommy Byrd!
Tommy Byrd decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
