Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamusuta Ko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vasil Toshev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Vasil Toshev! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toshev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ko sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Toshev tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ko swivels and escapes. Toshev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ko as he avoids it easily. Hamusuta Ko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasil Toshev. Toshev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ko. Toshev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ko but Ko pushes him off and we're back to square one. Toshev shoots in and drives through. Ko sprawls well. Toshev defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ko. No luck for Toshev with that takedown attempt. Ko shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Toshev pinned against the cage. Toshev gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Ko dodges the punch combination from Toshev.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ko jumps into guard, dragging Toshev to the mat.
Toshev wants to stand but Ko has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Toshev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ko swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ko working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Toshev doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Toshev manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ko keeping moving, preventing Toshev from controlling successfully. Ko is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Horrible takedown by Toshev or perhaps it was just good defense by Ko which made him look bad. Toshev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ko but Ko pushes him off and we're back to square one. Ko shoots in for a double leg but Toshev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Toshev circles away. Ko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A punch combination from Ko misses. Ko looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ko is breathing heavily. Toshev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ko tries to avoid it but Toshev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ko to the ground. Ko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Toshev bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Ko gets full guard. Toshev wants to control from the top but Ko keeps moving. Ko doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Toshev is desperately trying to improve his position but Ko has a good base and remains in mount. This has been an exciting period of action! Toshev wants to hold on but Ko pushes him away. That was a close round but I would say that Hamusuta Ko will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Toshev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Toshev looks for a takedown but Ko sprawls well. Hamusuta Ko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vasil Toshev. Ko misses with a series of wild punches.
Ko throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Toshev's waist but Toshev gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ko off to one side.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ko stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ko wants it to stay on the feet. Toshev is breathing heavily. Toshev fails with a takedown attempt. Ko lands a jab to the head.
Toshev wants to clinch and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Toshev shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ko as he jumps to the side. Toshev shoots for a double leg takedown but Ko sprawls well. He's pushed Toshev's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Ko shoots in for a double leg but Toshev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. No luck for Ko with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ko rushes Toshev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Ko keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Toshev's efforts to push away. Ko pulls guard. Ko bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Toshev's guard. Toshev controls Ko momentarily but Ko frees himself. Ko trying to control but Toshev is working from the bottom. Ko gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ko tries to clinch up. Ko moves into range and clinches up with Toshev. Toshev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Ko is looking to clinch. Ko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Toshev circles away. Toshev wants to clinch up but Ko keeps it at a distance. Ko checks a leg kick nicely. Toshev shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ko as he avoids it easily. Ko scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Ko shoots in looking for a takedown but Toshev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ko throws a looping overhand right but Toshev ducks down to avoid it. Toshev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Ko closes the distance and clinches up with Toshev, looking for a takedown. Ko pushes Toshev against the cage but Toshev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Toshev fails in his attempt to clinch. Toshev moves in looking to clinch but Ko pushes him off. Toshev avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Toshev misses with a leg kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Toshev tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Ko counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hamusuta Ko dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Ko slips a jab and a cross from Toshev.
A head kick by Toshev misses and Ko counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Toshev is lucky that one didn't land flush. Toshev lands with an uppercut that bounces Ko off the cage and back into range. Ko lands a nice looking body kick. Ko tries to score a power double leg takedown but Toshev sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ko somewhat. Ko fails to land the takedown. Toshev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ko swats away the attempt to clinch by Toshev. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ko clinches with his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ko is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Toshev to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamusuta Ko. That's going to take a lot out of him. Toshev tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ko avoids it. Toshev tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ko smiles and moves away.
Toshev slaps away a takedown attempt from Ko, before circling back to the center of the mat. Good leg kick by Toshev there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Toshev shoots in and drives through. Ko sprawls well. Toshev tries for a takedown but Ko sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Ko with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Ko engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Ko preventing the sweep. Toshev working a defensive guard here.
Toshev wants to stand but Ko is controlling the position. Ko postures up in Toshev's guard and throws a big left but Toshev blocks it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ko trying to control but Toshev is working from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Hamusuta Ko. Toshev throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ko lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Ko shoots in looking for a takedown but Toshev manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Toshev throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ko throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Toshev. Ko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Toshev circles away. Toshev closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ko wants to break the clinch but can't.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Toshev.
And that's the end of the fight! Hamusuta Ko showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ko has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
