Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Adam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Bower (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam comes to the cage accompanied by Grateful Deads- Truckin'. Bower has chosen When I'm With You as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rob Adam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Bower!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Winston Howard and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bower tries to bum rush Adam with a series of wild strikes but Adam uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Adam tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Adam with a jab.
Adam throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bower bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Adam uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Bower has time to react.
Rob Adam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Adam takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Adam defending well as Bower loads up on a big left hand.

Adam feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bower sprawling to the canvas! Bower rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Adam finish him?!

Adam takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Bower throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Adam on the side of the head.
Bower fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Adam manages to avoid it.

Adam throws a series of punches but Bower avoids them all with ease.

and Bower counters with a nice uppercut.

Adam gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bower to score an easy takedown into full guard.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Bower won't allow Adam to sweep him here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Adam connects with a nice short shot to Bower's temple.
Bower wants to get back to full guard.
Bower is controlling Adam's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well, if Adam is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Adam dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Bower punishes Adam's body with a nice straight punch.
Bower misses with an uppercut. Adam saw that one coming.
Adam swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Bower tries for a takedown but Adam sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Adam has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Adam there as he acknowledges the shot.
