Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Drabek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Drabek's choice of entrance music: Imagine. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ron Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeff Drabek! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane is looking to chop away at Drabek's legs. Drabek gets the takedown into side control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Drabek throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Drabek with the ground and pound but Kane regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Kane has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Drabek is working away from the top position though. Drabek not landing any meaningful shots this time. Drabek thows a huge punch but Kane dodges it nicely.

Drabek looks to land a strike but Kane avoids it nicely and regains full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drabek accidentally thumps the mat. Drabek missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Drabek postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Drabek with a flurry of punches that miss. He's now in Drabek's guard. Nice move by Kane! Drabek wants to sweep but no luck. Drabek has control of Kane's left arm, preventing Kane from doing any damage. Kane postures up in Drabek's guard and throws a big left but Drabek blocks it. Kane preventing the sweep. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kane looking to pass the guard. Drabek bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drabek shoots in but no luck this time. Kane connects with a solid leg kick. Kane takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Drabek looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kane is fending him off so far but Drabek persists. Nope, Kane circles away and we're back to standing. The fighters circling - Drabek throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kane is looking to score with low kicks. Drabek will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Ron Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Drabek. Kane throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Drabek checks a leg kick. Kane misses with a kick to the body.
Nice straight punches there by Kane. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kane. Drabek avoids the head kick by Kane.
Ron Kane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Drabek. Kane misses with a low kick.
Kane is looking to chop away at Drabek's legs. Drabek keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Drabek throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kane feints and then cracks Drabek's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Drabek down. Kane looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kane walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Drabek checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Kane avoids the body shot from Drabek.
Kane throws an overhand right that lands on Drabek's shoulder, as Drabek tries to avoid the shot. Ron Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kane buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Drabek closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kane quickly recovers to half guard. Kane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kane won't allow Drabek to pass to mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drabek missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Drabek sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kane defending well though. Drabek throws a strike but Kane avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Kane trying to control the position.
Drabek is in close to Kane's body, working some short punches and elbows. Drabek is looking to work some ground and pound but Kane has wrist control. Drabek working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kane's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Drabek throws a strike but Kane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kane showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Drabek looking to control.

Drabek lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kane! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drabek working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kane's head. Drabek postures up and lands a big shot to Kane's brow. Drabek is looking to work some ground and pound but Kane has wrist control. Drabek postures up in Kane's guard and throws a big left but Kane blocks it. Drabek wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position. Drabek lands a couple of digs. Kane looking to control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Drabek accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Drabek throws a big elbow that misses. Ron Kane has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Drabek! Both fighters are breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kane looking to control but Drabek is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kane raining down shots from the mount! Kane prevents Drabek from getting the reversal. Kane is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Drabek can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Poor strikes thrown by Kane there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Drabek is bucking up trying to escape but Kane cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Kane avoids the attempt from Drabek to control. Kane punishing his opponent with strikes. Kane misses with a head shot. Jeff Drabek is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Kane has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Drabek's face.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Drabek is squirming around, avoiding Kane's attempts to control the action. Kane throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Kane wants to control the pace but Drabek is squirming around nicely. Drabek is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Jeff Drabek has got the better of the ground game so far.

Drabek is rocked! Kane lands a big shot to the head and Drabek winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
