Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marko Vasic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Mahone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vasic comes into the arena with Woodkid - Iron blaring out of the sound system. Joe Mahone has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Marko Vasic's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vasic moves to clinch but Mahone breaks away
and Mahone counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mahone being controlled here momentarily.
Vasic trying to keep a closed guard but Mahone is proving a slippery customer.
Mahone stands and steps away. Vasic gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Vasic pushes Mahone up against the cage in a clinch.
Mahone stalls.
Mahone is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Vasic can't fight it off and eventually Mahone manages to take the fight to the floor. Vasic looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Vasic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mahone on the ground.

Mahone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vasic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vasic tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Mahone presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mahone controlling the position well here. Vasic rolled but Mahone kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Mahone is striking well from the back but Vasic escapes and manages to control the positon and works his way to half guard. A much better position - the crisis is over for the time being.
Mahone is taking a breather. Vasic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Mahone stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Mahone tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Vasic swivels and escapes.
Mahone is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Vasic's half guard.
Mahone is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Vasic has managed to free his arm - good work.

Vasic wants to get back to his feet.

Joe Mahone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Vasic lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Mahone takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Vasic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mahone circles away.

Mahone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vasic to the ground. Mahone is now in Vasic's guard.

Mahone has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Mahone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Mahone working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Vasic looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Mahone! Submission of the night perhaps?
