Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aleks Nord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aleksandr Maloshin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nord has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Aleksandr Maloshin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleks Nord! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Maloshin! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maloshin dives in and grabs Nord's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nord pushes down on Maloshin's head and hops out. Maloshin will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Maloshin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Aleks Nord has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aleksandr Maloshin. Maloshin throws a series of punches but Nord moves out of range. Maloshin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Maloshin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nord avoids it really well and circles away. Maloshin lands with an overhand left. Sloppy strikes from Maloshin. Those never looked like landing. Maloshin tries for a takedown but Nord sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Maloshin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Maloshin fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice combination there by Maloshin.
Maloshin looks gassed! Maloshin throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Maloshin shoots in for a takedown but Nord shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maloshin avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nord lands a jab. Nord misses with a wild combination.
Nord misses the shot to the body. Maloshin shoots for a double leg takedown but Nord sprawls well. He's pushed Maloshin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nord stuffs the takedown. Maloshin throws a right and a left that Nord avoids nicely. Nord pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nord tries to bum rush Maloshin with a series of wild strikes but Maloshin uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Maloshin moves into the clinch. Maloshin tries for a takedown but Nord manages to get underhooks.
Maloshin on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Maloshin goes for a takedown in the clinch but Nord prevents it.
Maloshin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nord avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nord wants a takedown but no success here.
Maloshin looking for a takedown. Maloshin manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Maloshin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Nord should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Maloshin has tightened it up now! Nord should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
