Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman misses with a few strikes there.

Muller shoots in for a takedown but Bateman shows good takedown defense.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Muller shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bateman manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bateman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Muller slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Muller is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Bateman is defending well though. Muller let's go of the attempt for now.

Muller could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

What can Bateman do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Muller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bateman but Bateman pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Muller dives in and grabs Bateman's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bateman pushes down on Muller's head and hops out.
Bateman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
A head kick from Muller lands but Bateman takes it in his stride.
Muller shoots for a takedown but Bateman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Bateman shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Muller eats them both and turns towards Bateman to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Bateman feints a jab promting Muller to slip. Bateman then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Muller slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Eric Bateman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Bateman has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
