Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nawal Chekhemani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefan Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Nawal Chekhemani has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Nawal Chekhemani seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nawal Chekhemani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stefan Roosmalen! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roosmalen fails to land with a series of punches.
Roosmalen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Chekhemani is not content to let Roosmalen control the position. Chekhemani is trying to get back to half guard. Chekhemani wants to control but Roosmalen postures up. Chekhemani is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Roosmalen looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Roosmalen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Chekhemani sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roosmalen working away. Chekhemani gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Roosmalen lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Chekhemani looking for submissions off his back. Roosmalen is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Roosmalen trying to control the action but Chekhemani is working from the bottom. Chekhemani trying to hold on to Roosmalen's head to control him but Roosmalen postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chekhemani is not content to let Roosmalen control the position. Roosmalen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chekhemani doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Roosmalen. Chekhemani wants to improve his position but Roosmalen is controlling well.
Roosmalen thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Chekhemani's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chekhemani gets back to full guard.
Chekhemani is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Roosmalen is aware though and is defending well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roosmalen trying to control but Chekhemani is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chekhemani looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Roosmalen passes into side control.
Roosmalen throwing shots but missing, from side control. Chekhemani sneaks back into half guard. Chekhemani has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roosmalen is working away from the top position though. Roosmalen is keen to just control but Chekhemani is a slippery customer. Chekhemani manages to get to full guard.
Chekhemani is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chekhemani tries to pass to full mount but Roosmalen defends it. Roosmalen trying to control but Chekhemani postures up.
Chekhemani throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Still in half guard, Chekhemani seems content to control. Chekhemani missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roosmalen slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stefan Roosmalen will probably get the nod. That's time! Chekhemani's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chekhemani gets caught napping as Roosmalen dives in and scores a takedown. Chekhemani manages to retain guard. Roosmalen showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Chekhemani looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chekhemani is looking for a triangle but Roosmalen pushes his legs off easily.
Roosmalen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chekhemani is keeping the position for now. Chekhemani pulls Roosmalen in close to prevent any damage. Roosmalen trying to control the position from guard on top but Chekhemani is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chekhemani throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chekhemani keeping moving, preventing Roosmalen from controlling successfully. Chekhemani keeping full guard, as Roosmalen tries to pass. Chekhemani looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Roosmalen puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Chekhemani avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Roosmalen. Roosmalen slips a nice elbow through Chekhemani's hands, connecting with Chekhemani's forehead. Well, if Roosmalen is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Roosmalen looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chekhemani with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Roosmalen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chekhemani is in a horrible position here. Roosmalen smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Roosmalen trying to control but Chekhemani is having none of it. Roosmalen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Roosmalen with a couple of short strikes. Chekhemani is desperately trying to improve his position but Roosmalen has a good base and remains in mount. Chekhemani tries to hold on but Roosmalen pushes him away. Roosmalen postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Chekhemani bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Roosmalen and the fight is over!
