PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hannibal Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lord Vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lecter comes to the cage accompanied by Til I Collapse. Vader has chosen Same Ol' Road as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lecter dodges the punch combination from Vader.
Vader rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lecter moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lecter throws a shot from downtown. Vader moves away and avoids it.

Hannibal Lecter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lord Vader.

Lecter has managed to clinch.
Vader is trying to force a seperation but Lecter has the dominant position.

Vader escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lecter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Lecter is trying to control. Vader wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Vader got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lecter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vader has managed to get both his arms back between Lecter's legs - danger averted.

Vader is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lecter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lecter has escaped and now he's on top!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vader lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Lecter backs up against the cage.
Vader looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lecter is fending him off so far but Vader persists. Nope, Lecter circles away and we're back to standing.

Vader will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Vader jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lecter is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lecter and Vader has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Vader goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Lecter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Vader but great work by Lecter.

Lecter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Vader to his feet.
