The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mira gets caught flat footed, as Nogueira shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Mira looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Nogueira connects with a couple of short punches.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Nogueira passes into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nogueira not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Nogueira stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mira to get to his feet.
Nogueira clinches up with Mira and pushes him back against the cage.
Nogueira has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mira regains guard immediately.
Nogueira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Nogueira wants to pass the guard but Mira is keeping the position.
Mira wants to get back to his feet but Nogueira is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mira is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nogueira drops back looking for a leg! Mira is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mira manages to kick Nogueira off! Nogueira jumps back into Mira's guard.

Nogueira thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Mira wants to stand but Nogueira is controlling the position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Nogueira throws a right hand that Mira ducks under and follows up with a left that Mira also avoids with ease.
Mira pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Nogueira wants to clinch up but Mira keeps it at a distance.
Mira clinches up against the cage.
Nogueira is looking to break free of the clinch but Mira has double underhooks.
Nogueira blocks an elbow strike.
Nogueira has Mira pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mira manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mira misses with an elbow over the top.
Nogueira changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mira fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mira seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Nogueira shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Mira is backing up but Nogueira catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Mira covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Nogueira Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
